Help Covenant Provide Hope to Foster Youth and Children!

Hope is in the air. It may not always be eternal hope but you can feel the “hope” of the world as people buy gifts, anticipate gifts and share. Christmas is hope. Christmas brought the “Hope of the World” into play as Jesus left the residency of Heaven to become hope in flesh.

Hope is a great thing. It is a commodity of Heaven used to encourage faith, action and life. Hope does not disappoint when the author of hope is God. Human hope may let us down but “Heaven’s hope” never fails.

Hope is contagious. When a story of insight that inspires or encourages is shared the hope meter begins to rise as alternative positive futures are realized. Hope is the answer to most needful situations. It is hope that springs forth when someone has a cancer scare. Hope comes into action at hospitals and cemeteries as well. Hope will always attempt to enter the darkest of situations to shed God’s light.

Hope for former foster youth and foster children is only a reality when God’s people show the way. James 1:27 states,  “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Thus, we are the hope of the orphan.

Covenant has been partnering with the community to provide hope for over a decade. We need your help. We are stepping up in 2011 to provide more hope than ever before. We are acting now to hire, train and employ over 25 former foster youth in 2011 through our social enterprises of Covenant Coffee (www.covenantcoffee.org) and Covenant Media (www.covenantmedianow.com). This is a bold endeavor but God-led. Now, we need human hands and hearts to make it happen.

Please consider becoming involved today. We obviously need financial assistance but we also need skills, pray, and time. You have a gift to give to help Covenant spread hope to the modern-day orphan and it is your time, talent and treasure. You can volunteer, mentor, teach  a class, help build-out the building, paint, serve, and on and on. Please help Covenant provide hope and begin 2011 with great passion and purpose.
